Black tee-molding bumper strips are on the sides of the base to prevent damage. At 151 pounds, this mirror-rack combo is solid, sturdy and durable. Cleaning is easy. Dust regularly and when needed, commercial glass cleaner for the mirror and a damp cloth with warm water and dish soap should do the trick for the back side.
