The future of pain relief is has arrived and its name is the ShockMaster 500. The ShockMaster is a state-of-the-art radial shockwave therapy unit. Shockwave therapy was discovered in 1980 and is used primarily in orthopedics, physiotherapy and sports medicine. Fast pain relief and restoration of mobility are part of the reasons why this modality is growing in popularity. Non-invasive and non-surgical, the ShockMaster is an ideal therapy to speed up recovery and cure various indications causing acute or chronic pain. Shockwave therapy uses an acoustic wave to carry high energy to painful spots. The energy encourages and enables the regeneration processes of bones, tendons and other soft tissues, leading to a reduction or elimination of pain. Intuitive, the ShockMaster features a patient Guided Therapy System (pGTS), which adapts treatment levels based on the patient's self-reported condition. Every therapy session is divided into different steps following the pGTS assessment: Tendon treatment, trigger point treatment, muscle treatment with D-Actor (Deep Impact) and muscle treatment with V-Actor (Vibration). Mobile, shockwave treatments can be carried out anywhere and anytime. The device features a 7" color screen which offers a 180 degrees view. A very complete anatomical library lets the practitioner easily select from the screen where treatment is needed while the patient selects their "pain score." Two output channels mean simple and rapid switches between hand pieces, so there's no lag in a treatment session. Always up to date, the ShockMaster has a USB port for software and therapy updates as well as any new development in shockwave therapy. The ergonomic handpiece is lightweight and well balanced. Not just for physical therapy and orthopedics, shockwave therapy is also ideal for treating kidney stones. A quick-start function is also available, allowing pressure to gradually build up to a higher comfort level for the patient. A noiseless and vibration-free compressor ensures the unit runs smoothly and quietly. The unit features a self-closing drawer with shock absorbers, capable of storing the applicators and other accessories.
