An additional black pressure switch for exclusive use with Obi, the first robotic dining companion of its kind. As eating is one of life's great pleasures and a basic human need, Obi is a revolutionary dining device for people living with physical challenges. For loved ones or patients suffering from Cerebral Palsy, ALS, Parkinson's or any other condition that impairs upper extremity motor control, Obi provides an independent dining experience. The pressure switch are the activation switches pressed to rotate the plate of food and to deliver food to the user. Obi is appropriate for both adults and kids. The plates are microwave safe and the plate, placemat and spoons are all dishwasher safe. All foods and liquids are compatible with Obi. However, foods need to be prepared and cut into pieces no bigger than 0.75" X 0.75" X 0.75" or smaller. The ideal size is between a pea and a grape. Larger sizes decrease the capture efficiency of the spoons. Obi can deliver food to a maximum height of 15.3" above the mounting surface and a maximum low of 2" below the mounting surface. The device has a maximum reach for food delivery of 16" from the edge of the plate. The Obi is Latex-free and natural rubber free.
