SmartCuffs PRO facilitates blood flow restriction training (BFRT) which safely restricts venous blood flow from a working muscle but allows arterial blood flow to that working muscle. BFR is instrumental in allowing patients to begin post-surgical rehab sooner than previously done. The PRO pump monitors and autoregulates pressure inside the cuff during exercise. The cuffs are 4 wide for safety as lower pressures are required to achieve LOP. Beyond rehab patients SmartCuffs PRO are also beneficial to those who are Immobile or mobility-restricted bed ridden casted the elderly athletes in active recovery and those suffering from decreased joint/tissue loads.
