Easier movement is only a step away when these Platform Mounted Parallel Bars are part of the treatment plan. Designed to assist bariatric patients and larger individuals in re-learning to walk gait training helping to regain balance strength range of motion and mobility these parallel bars are built for the comfort stability and optimum safety of the user with height that’s adjustable width that’s adjustable and a 500 lb. weight capacity. Starting from the ground up the parallel bars are mounted to a 1.5 thick hardwood plywood base with an ultra-durable UV-cured satin finish. Safety tread can be found at both ends of the platform so patients don’t slip while starting or stopping. The ends of the platform are ramped to allow easier ingress and egress. Heavy duty square telescoping steel uprights hold the 1.5 diameter one-piece stainless steel handrails. The height is easily changed with spring-loaded plungers and numbered height indicator strips. The bars run 10′ long and the height can be adjusted from 20-34. Please note assembly is required. It’s important to note that these parallel bars are intended for physical therapy use only not for gymnastics use. A second height knob on the uprights helps remove any potential side-to-side play in the bars providing an even sturdier experience. End bumpers on all handrails help ensure safety and ease of use. Easy to clean. For the platform dust or vacuum regularly and use a mop and hardwood floor cleaner when needed.
